I have recently completed a project called Take One Building where I was commissioned to film and edit 15 videos for the Solent Centre for Architectre + Design. The project has taken a number of months to complete. It has been really interesting meeting and learning about some of the history of the buildings involved with the project.

This video was a commission from late last year by Kent Architecture Centre to document them delivering a Spaceshaper workshop in lewisham, London.

Spaceshaper:

Spaceshaper provides a facilitated, practical workshop which brings together the users and managers of a public space to assess quality in an enjoyable and structured way. Spaceshaper participants work together to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the space and plan improvements to benefit the wider community. The process works for parks, play spaces, streets and squares providing a simple and effective way of engaging the local community in improving their neighbourhoods. Using Spaceshaper generates high levels of interest and buy in, tapping into the knowledge and creativity of local people.

Take One Building

I have recently started a filming job with The Solent Centre for Architecture + Design. Here's a short description of the project.

‘Take One Building’ will be an interactive online resource that will help teachers and students interrogate buildings fully through photos, videos, maps, plans, elevations, architects drawings, engineering drawings, archive material and oral commentary.

My role is to film the building and interview key people involved with the buildings, then to produce 3 videos per building which will all eventually end up on the Take One Building web site.

We first stayed in Hong Kong for 3 nights, then made our way down to South Thailand and stayed on a small island called Koh Lipe for 8 nights, and then finished our trip in Bangkok for 3 nights. We had an amazing time, and I hope you enjoy the pics!

'Places from Spaces' Completed

Most of 2009 was spent documenting the 'Places from Spaces' project for the Solent Centre for Architecture + Design and Kent Architecture Centre. After months of work and meeting some really interesting people ranging from architect students to councilors, the end result was a 20-minute film, and all the marketing images for the project.

I would like to thank all the students and other professionals I had the pleasure of working with throughout this project, and I hope to work with some of you for 2010.
